NORTHERN DAVIDSON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Chamber of Commerce in Northern Davidson County had struggled with an in-process site build for about a year. A referral of KLICKdesign came in handy to pick up, reasses and execute the new website within 3 months from start to finish.

NEW PRESIDENT + NEW SITE

Re-designing a website for a group of businesses that network in my local town is a true honor!

A new president of Northern Davidson County Chamber of Commerce, called for a new website. Sharon McGhee, the new president of the Chamber contacted me and requested an estimate to revise and redesign their current website, at NDChamber.org. We immediately scooped up NDCCC.org as well, since that is acronmyn used in their logo.

01

SITE MAP & DESIGN

Networking is essential for the Chamber in Northern Davidson County. This site needed to be appealing and easy to navigate, which is definitely a high priority for most sites. Simple and easy to understand was also on the Chamber’s list for the updated networking face for local businesses of Lexington, North Carolina.

Two site designs were suggested using the WordPress framework so that later, they could make changes internally.

The site-map shows the landing pages and links between so the client can visualize the overall structure of how the site will flow. This is the first step in any website design.

02

DESIGN + CONTENT + PROGRAMMING

Once the design is determined, then we can start building the site. Content comes from the client and can be edited or proofed based on the client’s needs.

In this case, content was pulled from the original site for the chamber. Many items that were on their old site were omitted from the new one.

As part of their membership, the Chamber site displays Gold members’ logos with links to each business on the homepage. Silver members are also listed within the site on the membership information page.

Another programming feature they needed, was to have their site capture new leads for interest in the Chamber. They already used Constant Contact, so forms were embedded on their site for email opt-in submissions to be automatically added to their email list in Constant Contact once they were submitted.

03

STAGING –> LIVE

Once the site has been approved and all changes are made, form submissions and site functionality is tested before going live to the public.

Site launches are my favorite!

Google keyword research and implementation are available within the site building process as an add-on service.
